Graduated from vocal department of the Sibelius Academy (Marjut Hannula, 2008) and completed masterclasses under the guidance of several outstanding opera singers and lied pianists including Gundula Janowitz, Fabio Armiliato, Simone Maria Marziali, Udo Reinemann, Roger Vignoles, Larissa Gergieva, Sherrill Milnes, Roland Hermann, Teresa Berganza , Margarita Gruzdeva, Wilma Vernocchi.

Marion Melnik has sung in Finland, Estonia, the USA, Japan, Russia and other countries and has a wide repertoire of both church and chamber music, musicals and operas. M. Melnik has achieved success in several singing competitions: Pentti Koskimies Lied Konkursi finalist with pianist Marko Hilpoga (2003), Timo Mustakallio Konkursi Youngest Finalist (2004) And he has been awarded the Schubert Konzert Prize at the Vienna Klassik-Mania Konkursi (2005) and the II Prize at the Lappeenranta Song Konkursi (2006). The repertoire includes Oscar (Verdi Maskiball), Musetta and Mimi (Puccini La Bohème), Despina (Mozart Cosi fan tutte), Papagena (Mozart Võluflõõt), Priestess (Verdi Aida), Zerlina (Mozart Don Giovanni), Maria (Bernstein West Side Story) et al.
Marion made her debut in 2006 at the finnish national opera and in Estonia national opera in 2008. At the Estonian national opera she continued as a confirmed guest soloist until 2011. She has performed as a soloist in front of ERSO and the Tallinn Chamber orchestra, and performed at the Alion Baltic Music Festival and the Birgitta Festival. M. Melnik has worked with many outstanding conductors, including Eri Klas, Vello Pähn, Jüri Alperten, Arvo Volmer, Mihhail Gertz, Susanna Mälkki and Atso Almila.
